Welcome     Expeditionary Learning

Expeditionary Learning offers our students the experience to learn about other places around the world!  When students are exposed to other countries and cultures, it allows their young minds to expand and understand the world and people on a higher level.  

This year our Kindergarten students will be introduced to the United States and Spain.  First and second graders will learn about various cultures around the world.  The upper grades (3rd-8th), students will be assigned a designated foreign land, learning about the country and its culture, which will cultivate higher order thinking skills.  The grade and country of study is listed below:

Kindergarten - The United States & Spain

1st & 2nd - Spain, China, Japan

Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will explore the United States of America and other foreign countries. Students will learn about the history of various states, explore inventors and inventions, become scientists, learn Black History, and travel via technology and imagination. 

3rd Grade- China

3rd Graders will explore the history and culture of China.

4th Grade- Italy

4th Graders will explore the history and culture of Italy.

5th Grade- Canada

5th Graders will explore the history and culture of Canada to prepare them for the annual 5th grade trip to Canada in May 2016.  

6th Grade- Japan

6th Graders will explore the history and culture of Japan.

7th Grade- Spain

7th Graders will explore the history and culture of Spain.

8th Grade-Costa Rica

8th Grade students will learn the history and culture of  Australia as the prepare to travel to this continent in May 2017!!!!
